Living in SoMa means your life is always surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city, so sometimes you just want to find a place to wind down. Luckily, SoMa offers some of the best wine bars in San Francisco, so it will be difficult to choose which one to try!

The Wine Down: The Wine Down has an approachable wine selection at this well-priced SoMa gathering spot that also serves beer and basic bar snacks. The building itself is a bright and modern space where staffers welcome the after-work crowd with bar and table seating plus enticing happy-hour specials. It gets very busy, so we suggest making a reservation if you have a large group!

Jamber Wine Pub: Jamber is a great place for a first date or meeting up with some old friends. The small and intimate space provides a perfect setting for great laughs or just getting to know someone. Jamber Wine Pub is owned by sommeliers with a legit pedigree but zero ego, this place is a beautiful, modern looking spot with great wine and great records spinning.

Terrorir: What makes this wine spot great is the fact that they only they only carries wines that are fermented with naturally occurring yeasts, which helps this restaurant to boast its great wine, excellent boards, mellow atmosphere with a urban feel. For all of wine aficionados in SoMa, Terrorir is the spot to get a bottle of delicious white or flavorful red and relax for a bit with some friends or someone special. If you don’t drink wine, this is the place to take your friends and family who do – they will love it!
