THE BEST SEPTEMBER EVENTS NEAR SOMA
There are so many things to do as Summer winds to a close that we figured we should probably devote an entire blog to it so you don’t miss out. So without further ado, here’s our brand new blog that’s focused on the Best September Events near SoMa!
Launching our blog on the best September events near SoMa is the Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival on September 9-10th in Ghirardelli Square from 12pm-5pm each day. It’s chocolate to die for – and it comes in many different forms. Expect a chocolate lounge, a Chocolate Earthquake Ice Cream Eating competition, a Chocolate School (where you can learn everything about your favorite food group!), and even chef demonstrations.
2017 Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, September 24th from 11am-6pm. The event runs all day and, best of all, is free! You can find it at Folsom and 8th St, where it sprawls across 13 city blocks, and it’s the world’s largest leather fair. Expect over 200 exhibitors alongside a live stage with big names in EDM. This is an adult-only affair, however, so this is NOT for kids.
Next up on our blog on the best September events near SoMa is the SF Hunt 2017 on Saturday, Sept 9 from 7pm-9pm. It’s a scavenger hunt that gives you 100 riddles and 12 hours to solve them and uses San Francisco as its game board. Basically, each riddle sends you to a unique locale that you have to record via photos or videos. Nab as many as you can and then head to the after-party where you’ll find prizes, free beer, hot swag, and lots of people!
Rounding out our blog on the best September events near SoMa is the San Francisco Fest on the Green over at the AT&T Park at 24 Willie Mays Plaza. The legendary baseball park is taken over by iconic San Francisco bands playing classic rock. Last year’s event hosted Journey, Santana, Steve Miller Band, Tower of Power and the Doobie Brothers so you can expect a stellar line up this year too.
