Summer is coming up quick, and living in SoMa means you’ll be amidst all the hustle and bustle of the warm weather events. This week’s blog post is all about the highlights of our area’s event’s we are most excited to attend: via SanFranciscoTravel

SFMade Week:

From May 8-14, 2017 SFMade presents a week-long celebration of San Francisco’s vibrant manufacturing sector. Discover locally made products, the people who make them and where to buy the products at more than 50 events at factories and retailers including factory tours, demos, shopping events and Ramp It Up! Reclaiming the Past, and Inventing the Future! Take a factory tour to view the daily operations of some favorite local manufacturers including Sinopia Paint and Bryr Clog. SFMade currently supports more than 650 local manufacturers who collectively sustain more than 4,000 jobs in San Francisco. To see a curated collection of SFMade products, stop by the official San Francisco Visitor Information Center at 900 Market St. on the lower level of Hallidie Plaza.

Uncorked! The San Francisco Wine Festival:

Dozens of top-tier wineries, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations by top local chefs and wine education seminars will unpop the fun at Uncorked! Wine Festival, May 13, 2017 at Ghirardelli Square. Proceeds benefit Bay Area Green Tours. Must be 21 or over to attend, so be sure to come ready to experience the ambience of the waterfront and entertainment throughout Ghirardelli Square and along Beach Street!

Crossroads Film Festival:

Founded by filmmaker Bruce Baillie in 1961, San Francisco Cinematheque is the Bay Area’s premier venue for avant-garde/experimental, underground and personally expressive film and video work. In our steadfast dedication to exhibiting works of aesthetically radical cinema from all historical eras and geo-political locales, San Francisco Cinematheque celebrates the breadth and depth of this vibrant art form in all its myriad expressivities on May 19th-21st.

Living in SoMa means that you get the beauty of the city while still experiences all the amazing events. Whether these events are right here in SoMa or in the neighborhood next door, we cannot wait to attend these city-wide celebrations!
