SoMa has so many great pubs and bars that we got to wondering; which of them held the best gosh darn Happy Hours? There are so many choices but we got stuck in and pared the list down to the best of the best – so without further ado, here it is. Our brand new blog: the Best Happy Hours in SoMa!

Kicking off our blog on the best Happy Hours in SoMa is 25 Lusk over at – conveniently enough – 25 Lusk Street. The ambiance here is incredible and sumptuous; don’t go here looking for a sports bar. Happy Hour here hits Mon-Sat from 5-7pm and you can find some amazing deals while people watching. Select beer goes for $4, wines sell for $5 per glass, while well drinks are $6. They also do a trade in some great bar food too; we sampled the pork belly sliders, rabbit tacos and pretzels with cheese fondue as the prices for each ranged from $4-$6.

Next up on our blog on the best Happy Hours in SoMa is Bellota over at 888 Brannan Street (near 8th St). This upscale restaurant is all about the paella so expect something a little different for Happy Hour. Indeed, Happy Hour here goes daily from 4-6pm and you can expect $6 tapas. We sampled the spiced Marcona almonds, the Gilda Pincho and the marinated Spanish olives and loved them all. As for drinks, expect to pay $6 for select beer and wine and for just $5, you can pick up a sherry, sangria, cider or vermouth!

Rounding out our blog on the best Happy Hours in SoMa is the upscale Cavalier over at 360 Jesse Street which has an unusually early happy hour which runs every single day from 2:30pm-5:30pm – meaning you can hit this up first before heading to the other two! Cavalier focuses on British fare so you can pick up some great deals on food including $5 crispy Brussels Sprouts chips, $8 Hen Egg Hollandaise and a $12 burger. For the booze, expect $8 wine and cocktails and $5 for a draught beer.

That’s it for our blog on the best Happy Hours in SoMa. Wherever you choose to go, please drink responsibly and have a great – and safe – time!
